2019 Youth For Life: Young People Stand in Opposition to Abortion
Updated: Sep 20, 2019
Some people are quick to judge the youth of today, claiming they lack substance and care only about themselves.
Well we feel differently.
This past Saturday, nearly 2,000 young people from around North and South Carolina united to voice their concern for the unborn in our communities. They worshiped. They prayed. And they were encourage to STEP UP and be a voice for the voiceless in their schools, on their sports teams and in their local communities.
Our Youth For Life Prayer Walk took place simultaneously in three cities, Charlotte, Greensboro and Raleigh, where young people gathered outside of area abortion centers to pray for an end to abortion. Each prayer walk was lead entirely by youth; further illustrating the eagerness of young people to make their voices heard on this issue.
But gathering is only the first step. In the same way that we encourage people to connect and make a difference at each of our weekly prayer walks, the youth were challenged to take a bold step and play an active role in ending the greatest genocide the world has ever known. From volunteering at our prayer walks to becoming trained as sidewalk counselors or mentors, everyone can do something.
